School Spirit Ice Cream Social
On Sunday July 12th, from 3-5pm, the Older Adult Council will sponsor an ice cream social and game time in the Fellowship Hall. The theme this year is “school colors.” Wear your school colors proudly. As an extra attraction, there will be a high school yearbook table. Please bring your yearbook so that we can look back and see what everyone looked like in high school. As is our custom, admission to the event is a wrapped snack, individually wrapped candy, miniature candy bars, cookies, pretzels, chips, fruit roll-ups, etc suitable for packaging to mail to our Youth Group mission teams later in July.
Vacation Bible School
Camp E.D.G.E.: Experience and Discover God Everywhere. Children aged 4
through fifth grade, are invited to be part of our trek from the
Promised Land, to Bethlehem, and on to Galilee, to experience God’s
promises and the ministry of Jesus, all through the experiences of
camping. They will hear Bible stories and skits, make crafts, sing and
dance, eat, play and have fun while experiencing God in all of these
things. Camp Edge happens on Friday night, July 10, from 6:30 to 8:30
pm, and Saturday, July 11, from 10 am to 4 pm. Download a registration form. Also, if you
wish to volunteer to lead the children in this great adventure, email

Summer Book: Life Together by Dietrich Bonhoeffer We are doing something different and exciting this summer by reading a spiritual book as a congregation. Life Together is about an underground Christian community during the Nazi regime. Bonhoeffer, who was eventually martyred, offers his unique wisdom about how families and other groups can be sustained in Christ using personal prayer, community worship, work, and service to others. Purchase your copy of the book in the Narthex for $10.00 beginning July 5 or online. Read more.
